The place is all dried up. The hundred years old trees still stands. Amazing adoptability of these trees enables them to thrive 6 months at a time to remain under water
Located in northern part of Tagua near the Tribal village of Indrapur. The clear water here stretches with a slow slope little over a kilometer, where the north is covered with Hills of Meghalaya and on the west sky meets the water.
An old cement lime stone Hill remains. heavily excavated during its production years. Now only a lake remains, instead of the Hill
At the entrance of Tanguar haor, just beside the Golabari Ansar Camp. Common misconception is the trees around them are not Hijol trees, they are Koroch trees. If you have reached this point, the haor has only just began. Don't forget to venture the rest of the 100 square kilometer.
